The Glass House, Stowe, Vermont.
Designed by Boston-based Architect Jermey Jih and featured in several publications, The Glass House was engineered with structural steel along three sides of the house to support massive exterior glass curtain walls that give one the "experience of living inside a glass globe." The home has polished concrete floors with radiant heat, custom cabinetry, and cedar ceiling cladding that carefully matches the exterior soffit to achieve a seamless appearance. Some custom features installed by the Cypress team include a cedar sauna with floating benches, Sapele hardwood ski lockers, floating Walnut treads with glass railing, a topographical map printed on acrylic with CNC holes cut out for wine bottle placement, and custom-built furniture for the client's valuable record collection.
