Retained by a Boston-based design firm to help transform a dated mountainside house into a modern retreat, Cypress gutted the original structure back to its foundation and studs. Set on an extremely private lot with a pond and proximity to the Stowe ski mountain, the home's new floor plan includes six bedrooms, each with its ensuite bathroom. Cypress created custom cabinetry throughout the house, including a floor-to-ceiling walnut bar, customized metal fireplace cladding, white oak flooring throughout the bedrooms and rec room, custom wardrobe closets, and more. Cypress integrated radiant cast heating into the home's polished concrete floor and installed large expanses of glass that provide inspiring views of Vermont's Worcester range and Mount Mansfield's "chin."
